i have redhat linux 9 and win xp in my system. i have installed the windows version of vm ware. i have created a new virtual machine with linux guest but could not make it run.when i start the linux virtual machine it gives the dual boot option and enters linux. it runs fine till the harward checking . after that it says "updating /etc/fstab" and my system hangs. doesnt go further. i tried many times but could not run the linux virtual machine. some one tell me how to run linux guest..pls ok bye

thanku for u r reply. i have read the information in the above link. but i dont understand why to install redhat linux 9 again . i already have linux 9 in my computer. it works fine. what i need is to run the windows xp and linux simultaneously using VM ware. i think u got my point. should i install linux once again using linux cds. tell me in detail pls.
