Subject: Visual Interdev can't find Web Server |
Comment: Hi! When opening a new project, Interdev would ask the web server. I type in my computer name, but I receive a message - Web Server not found. I have installed IIS 5.1 on my PC. What am I doing wrong?

Reply: (edit)Hi i had the same problem and just the day that i see your message found how to fix it. go to control panel to sure that the frontpage 2000 server extensions is added to iis. Add remove programs>add/remove windows components>iis>frontpage 2000 server extensions after add that go to iis settings in start>adminstrative tools>internet information service. open the tree to find 'default web site' choose it and go 'action>all tasks>frontpage 2000 server extensions' and add the service it may tell you to delete a file.do that if you can't find the file move all to another place and then add it. hope to sucssess. alwin.
