Every couple of minutes I get an error message saying: Runtime Error! Program: C:\WINDOWS\system32\cidaemon.exe R6025 - pure virtual function call I included an image of the error with this post. My computer gives me a similar message every time I boot up. The only difference is mine reads: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ ccEvtMgr.exe I just got rid of the Sasser demon yesterday but this message has been appearing ever since I began having problems with Sasser. What to do???

Heya, Firstly both your problems are different. Jamm's problem is with Norton, and sufyan's is with windows' indexed search feature. I recommend that Jamm goes to norton's site to investigate further, and Sufyan should open Computer Management, double click Services And Applications, right click 'Indexing Service' and click STOP. it has no ill effects - using indexing services just makes finding files fractionally faster.
