HELP SOMEBODY-ANYBODY!
I have an eMachine model T2542 with the listed OS, CPU & Ram. My problem is that I cannot get my internet service provider account to run after loading Earthlink's TotalAccess 2005 a few days ago. I received an error message that read, "This application (Microsoft Visual C++ RunTime Library) has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." This machine (eMachine model T2542) shipped with Windows XP. How can I correct my runtime and ISP sign-on problems?

Since the problem appears to be related to Earthlink's TotalAccess 2005, have you looked for resolutions at this link?

I had the same error message, and I run the same eMachine T2542.
My error came after deleting some Norton software, which took same shared windows files with it.
Try uninstalling the application which gives you the error message, then re-installing it.
Worked for me...petro
