PC has been acting up. Looked into mscofig/startups and a program "svhost.exe -sr -1" was listed twice. SVHOST (not svchost)is supposed to be a virus related item. Unchecked same but was checked again upon opening RUN box. Did not open any programs to cause them to be checked. It was listed in my registry under c:\Windows but when I looked into Explorer it was not there. Here again deleted them but they came right back. Ran a virus check and nothing shows up. Any help.

I remember that one! Lots of fun with Win2K. I was only too happy to clean install as things were slowing down anyway.
Was fun trying to remotely fix 500+ PCs at work though! Especially with critical processes running 24/7. Damned centralization! I could have done it all myself, but they got rid of me! ARG! I hate Cumbrian employment! (Just been unfairly dismissed, so I'm a little bias right now. Got 2 days of my notice to work then I'm taking them to a tribunal hearing where all I want is another couple of weeks pay to help find another job - a proper one, not this crappy card shop, I'm a computer engineer/genius for god's sake, I need to excersize my mind with new challenges! Not work out what size card goes in which pocket.)
You can do a lot with nothing... look in to space, what's there?
