I never heard of it before. Uninstall that virus scanner (reboot) and get the free AVG from http://www.grisoft.com

Win.exe would indicate you are infected with the W32.Maldal.D@mm worn. Follow the instructions from the Symantec site to remove it.

Sound like a hoax. Go to the following and run a free virus scan: http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_pcc.asp
You can then go to AVG and download a free virus scanner. It's very good as long as you update regularly.

Actually that is a real antivirus program and you can check out their website. Were your definitions upto date on the other two antivirus programs that you used that didn't pick up those viruses? Also some viruses will disable your current virus scanner so that it won't report them.

I would strongly recommend not using that software since they are sneaky in the way that they try to make you use it.

I am experiencing the same problem with this eAnthology thing. I don't want it. I never asked for it. I'm not even sure which softward I downloaded put this thing on my computer. It seems to detect viruses in nonexistent files. I have Norton. A very thourough and satisfying virus scanner. I CAN'T MAKE THAT eANTHOLOGY THING GO AWAY. If anyone can help me get rid of this thing please help me because I don't want it.

Hey!

I got the same problem and i can't get rid of it... It seems that it first appeared after i had downoaded the program: Imesh...Did anyone experience the same problems just after installing imesh or did i download something WITH Imesh that contained this so called virusscan?? I certainly did NOT install this software myself, i am sure of that!

Hey guys!!

I think i found a way to remove this software from your pc! It is not the traditional way because that doesn't work but i seem to no longer have this program so it worked!
I just let my computer search for anything with the word eAnth in it and it found a lot of files. After that i found dat somewhere in your pc a map was created named: acceleration software and in this map there is an uninstall program for the stop sign program..
For the rest: i didn't ask for this software so i deleted al other files with the word eAnth in it. After that i went to my computer's configuration and deleted the program in "software"
Hope this helps you too:)I didn't get it on my screen again (oh yeah just in case i also deleted my bin...)

Hey! everytime I try to get rid of that
eanthology manager/stop sign virus scanner,
my computer tells me I'm performing an
illegal operation. I'm at my wits ends. I
didn't download anything recently. It's just
there and won't quit my add/remove program.
It constantly freezes up my computer. I can't
find any acceleration software on my computer. Am I stuck with this? Help!

I just got rid of that annoying eAnthology virus scan Stop-Sign program after following Johnny's instructions listed above. Thank you!!! I know I got it last night when I downloaded iMesh. I saw the ad on the iMesh page for "eAnthology Defender." During the iMesh download I had to "agree" with two policy statements that iMesh lists. The first policy statement was where the problem began. It says you have to agree to allow installations from other supporters (eAnthology) of iMesh to help keep this music sharing program free to users. Seconds later the eAnthology virus scan progam hijacked my machine and was popping up those Stop-Sign virus scan messages and offered no uninstall option. Johnny's remedy appears to have fixed the problem. There were 15 files found after the search for eAnth. Thanks again.
