Hello!
My sister accidentally let what I believe to be a virus into my computer by clicking on false advertisements.
I'm not sure what kind of virus it is or how to get rid of it, but here are the symptoms:
*It renamed my computer to '693'
*I cannot use my system restore
*I am getting tons of porn pop-ups and links that are terribly hard to get rid of
*And it drastically slowed my computer down

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!

If you have an Antivirus Program update your virus definitions and run a full virus scan. If you don't go to the link below and run the Free "Housecall" online virus scan.

Housecall

Download, install, read the directions, then update and run Spybot Search & Destroy at the link below. Make sure you update it from within the program prior to running it.

Also download and update AdAware. If your AV program is not up to date, be sure to do it. Hope you have a good firewall.

AdAware
