Hi. Can someone help? Everytime I open up Window, or almost everytime, a Trojan virus is launched and quarantined by one of the anti-virus softwares on my PC, but when I scanned yesterday for the source of the virus, I found nothing, thus everytime I log on, the virus pops up. What is the best thing to do about this? I hope System Restore is a last resort, because there is DSL service on here as well. And I noticed it started the other day when I was on Facebook.

I would suggest that you make a post in the security and virus forum. That way someone may be able to help you....this is the windows XP forum....thanks
Also, if you need help posting your specs, just click on the red link and it explains things quite well (like the ram, processor, etc)...good luck. Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions Glad to Help!

...one of the anti-virus softwares..." This may not explain/solve your problem, but it really is not wise to attempt running multiple AV programs simultaneously.
That being noted, try running "one" of those AV scans in Safe Mode (good-practice computing).
Not sure what is the significance of this comment: "...because there is DSL service on here as well...", although: the "sporadic" instance of this trojan (which you neglected to document) "might" be re-injected online... what is your current "start page"?
System Restore is NOT a last resort, re-formatting and re-installing is.
