I have a sony VAIO 1300 Mhz cpu running windows xp home. I have a virus scan called pc-cillin which came with the computer and it is very up to date. when I turn my computer on it detects a virus which is ADW_TENGET.A - A0051849.exe original location C:\system volume information. It says its is unable to clean and it quarantines it and then I go in and delete it and it asks me to scan my whole computer to see if it is spread. I do that and it detects nothing. But when I turn my computer off and then on again it detects it again.Sometime it won't detect it until the computer goes in standby mode and then I move the mouse and log back into windows and it says that it has detected it and I do the same thing again. Maybe my anti-virus is no good and I need another one. I was going to try and get the norton anti-virus and try that. What do you think I should do. Please help.

Hi Robert,
That virus is actually a spyware, it probably came bundled with a software that you installed and are still using wich is why it continue to shows up at every reboot. To remove it definitly run the company un-installer you can find it here:
http://www.igetnet.com/downloads/NLNuninstall.exe
You can find more info on how to remove the registry keys that it added/modified here (it would be too long to post here):
http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=ADW_TENGET.A

Turn off system restore. Scan for the virus, and remove it from your system. Restart your computer. Turn system restore back on. Once you are sure it is gone. Create a restore point.
