I clicked on a zip file and have had a flood of many different kinds of viruses. I have been able to get rid of some but others are found that can't be fixed like Collected.AE (trojan horse). It also has taken over IE and it seems to be using my connection. I have searched around but haven't seen much on it, at least anything clear cut and I have tried at least 10 types of AV programs to no avail. HELP

I had this pain-in-the-behind virus (collected.ae) and finally, (after many hours and anti-virus programs that didn't work) found a sure-fire way to get rid of it. Do a Google search on "aim virus" and you'll see a little utility called "aimfix"...I think some guy named Loden wrote it (bless him)...it works to remove every known AIM virus and it's a tiny little utility that took me 5 secods to download. I got the virus by clicking on an AIM away message. Anyway, just run "aimfix" in Windows "safe mode" and your troubles will be over. Good luck!
