I was just surfing the web as usual when AVG Free came up with the alert that there was a virus detected in C:\Program Files\Windows Media PLayer\wmplayer.exe, trojan horse Downloader.Small.23.D It would not le tme do anything such as delete, move to the vault or heal as it sais "Requested action is not available for this object", when I manually scanned the folder for viruses it found nothing. I have Zone alarm and a hardware firewall on my router, I thought it was supposed to be virtually impossible to get a virus if you had a hardware and software firewall??? Does anyone have any explanation for this please? Thanks L.Dudley

You can still get infected with your firewalls. Have you installed the latest critical updates for WMP, as there are some for it that were released to resolve its vulnerabilities. Perhaps AVG reported a false positive. I would use http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ to perform an online scan. It can clear a problem if it identifies one. Just to be sure, I would then restart the computer, enter the safe mode and run AVG's scan while in it. HTH
