hi all,
i scan my computer using trend micro pc-chiling 2005 and this is what i found

Infected file: C:\WINDOWS\System32\drct16.dll
Virus name: BKDR_HAXDOOR.AV
User name: Dung
Scan action result: The Quarantine action was unsuccessful. Manually delete the file if you are sure that it is not needed.

i started in safemode and still can't delete the file. does anyone know how to get rid of this virus? please help. thank you ver much

Yes most definetly boot in safe mode and run the scan and delete it this way

" IF IT AINT BROKE - LEAVE IT ALONE "

i tried that too... and it still doesnt work. do you know good software to delete the virus? it's a spy threat i believe. please help.. it keeps getting pop ups...

If houseCall doesn't get that file and you can't delete it, move it or change it's name in Safe Mode???
Then try a little free utility called Killbox.
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.exe

You need to put the entire path into the top text box, then hit the red button. There are more advanced auto file-substitutions, etc also available with it. It does delete them at reboot.

i tried that too.. it deted the file but the comp still infected.

i run the pc-chilling scan spyware... it detected the virus.

the threat call " spyw_agent.hs"

i checked the box and click remove, and on the status, it said removal compleated. but the " spyw_agent.hs" threat still there. is there any other to delete this spywware? please help...
