Hi!

I would like to install and host a virtual machine on my PC.

It will be a virtual machine that I would use to test any new application before installing it on the host PC.

So the virtual machine will run under the same OS (xp pro sp2) as the host machine.

the question:
Do I have to buy a new copy of Windows XP Pro SP2, or may I "install" the same one with the same license?

Thanks a lot for any advice.

Asus P5W DHDeluxe RAID 0
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700
2GB DDR2 Twin2X 800MHz
nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX

Since you asked then I'd say yes.

VM's are not really the best way to test for deployment. They are great for possible deployment consideration.

I like to use system restore.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
