On a Windows XP System Managed.

Unless you have a thorough understanding of how virtual memory works and how it is used, leave manual settings alone. It can make things worse as well as make things better in the right circumstances.

Also, a stick og 256 Mb is not virtual memory. Virtual memory is HD, as in Hard Drive. Don't mess with those settings. You are just looking for trouble. Windows will likely handle it far better than you can.

Trust me.

No doubt about that.

JC, if you are running out of virtual memory, you probably should add some more RAM. Using virtual memory slows your system down.
