viewing win98 partition in winxp

tried to plug them together, but couldn't view contents in the 1st partition of the 2nd harddisk.
question: anyone know y? how can i view them? thx in adv

Could be a number of things, is your bios setup to recognize both harddrives, are the jumpers setup correctly on the harddrives. Wether you have XP setup on NTFS or FAT file system, you should be able to see your win98 partition.

thx beth, checked everthing u listed, bios recognised both hd; xp is in FAT32, jumpers are correct.
funny enough, i can read the 2nd partition of the 1st and 2nd hd, i only can't read the 1st part of the 2nd hd...so..., anymore help??
