I apologise if this is listed in the wrong place! Recently I had occasion to view some family pictures I'd previously put onto CD-ROM. When I insert discs (I've tried others) into the CD drive and select explore, all the thumbnails, icons - whatever option I select - have the Internet Explorer icon superimposed on top of them, such that it is impossible to see what is under the (Explorer) icon. I have selected the Windows Picture & Fax viewer to display the pictures on both drives but curiously, if I put the CD into the DVD-ROM, it works fine, displays thumbnails, list, icons or whetever is selected. I do hope someone out there will be able to shed some light on this - and sorry again if I've put my request in the wrong place.

recordamus, just a SWAG, select the pictures (hold down Ctrl and click to select). Once they're selected, RIGHTCLICK and select IE to open with. Check the box to 'always use'. You can change it back if you're unhappy with the results. HTH. Ed in Texas.
