G'day Milesnuk, this is called Networking and you will need on both machines a NIC [thats geek for Network Interface Card]. You can buy these fairly cheaply and they are generally called a Network Kit, with two cards and cable and instructions.
You will also need some patience as sometimes connecting them and hoping they see each can be frustrating if not done right. XP and 95 will network OK, eventually. You will be able to also share your internet connection [ICS].
Any problems and we are here to help if and when you attempt it, it's not that hard.
To view and control both computers at once you will need a program such as PC Anywhere but see how you go first just getting them connected and seeing each other before worrying about that idea. Connecting them with a serial cable can also be done but I'll let others explain that.
You could also try the Networking Forum here for better help [?].
And to have a computer in a two different
rooms ....naw...that's too easy to explain.
