For some reason, my folder view options change when I open folder. One time it will be filmstrip, next time it will be tiles, etc.... I have tried to set it exactly the same in all folders (Folders in My Computer, My Zip Drive, etc...both external and the C:\ drive) Is there a fix for this? I am new at this OS and am really trying to learn without help from Microsoft's intervention. Thanks in advance.

Right click on the START button and select EXPLORE. The files that actually show here are not whats important, what is important is to get this view looking the way you want it.

Now go to the menus at the top and select TOOLS FOLDER OPTIONS.

On the VIEW tab, there is a button "Apply to all folders" that should do it.
