I have just built a computer with an ati kt7 raid motherboard, an abit radeon 7000 video card, an athlon xp 1600 CPU with a big fan on it, an older diamond sound card, a 40GB 7200rpm WD. I installed windows xp home edition with no problems. The other day I was playing solitary and the screen went suddenly black with a blue windows in the middle of the screen with a message "please check your video settings" and I had to turn the pc off and back on to get back to my desktop. It also freezes one in a while. It sounds like it could be a bad video driver or an overheating problem but I have a good fan on my CPU. Does somebody would have any suggestions on this problem? Thanks in advance.

For openers, just to confirm that temps are OK, do you know what they are ("big fan" doesn't mean anything!) If you don't have monitoring utlility, look at the Hardware Health section (or similar) in BIOS.
