What is a decent free video editor. I have a avi thats 2 minutes long. I want to start after the first 45 seconds and end after 80 seconds and make that a video. I am trying to cutout the unnecessarty stuff. to make the file smaller.

Thanks
Marshall

You can do this with the latest version of Microsoft's Windows Movie Maker. It's FREE!

Try Virtual Dub - more powerful than any of those mentioned, and a cinch to use:

and yes, it's free - it's updated regularly, has loads of cool plug-ins available, and is easy to install/uninstall.
