Everything works find on both monitors, except moving video. I am running Home XP on a Sony GR390 Laptop, with an ATI card with 32 MB of video ram. I can use the laptop's monitor and my external Sony monitor with no problem for most taks, but when I try to see moving video (i.e. a DVD), I see the image only on the laptop's monitor. On the external monitor, I can see everything (controls, windows, buttons, frames, etc), but where the video should be, I only see a black square. I loaded the drivers for the monitor already. The good news is that theres nothing your with your laptop, The bad news is this won't work. I had the same problem on my desktop pc and searched around and found the answer but I cant remember the exact details of why this doesn't work. I searched again tonight but couldn't find the page again.
