video device selection with msn mes

I use msn messenger, i have a webcam, i also have a video capture card. Is there a way to make msn select which video divice to use when using a webcam convorsation? i always have to select it by disabling one of them in the device manager but to do that i need to restart my computer and i dont like always having to do that.

gort, dunno if there's a better or recommended way to do what you want. Strikes me that if you access the proggie you don't want to use, it'll show up as a proggie in use in your taskbar with a square for it and you can RIGHTCLICK the square representing that proggie and close it. Seems like that should do what you want? HTH. Ed in Texas.
