Hi, i just got a new ATI 9600se video card. i installed it, but when i boot the computer, the monitor displays a "no signal" message. however, my computer still boots as normal (no beeps other than regular POST). Any ideas what the problem is?
Thanks alot, darnone.

PS. if it helps i have an ASRock k7s41 mobo with SiS 741GX chipset

Did you uninstall your old display adapter drivers and install the ATI drivers?

no, however wouldnt drivers only affect the card once in windows?. like, the monitor shows no response when the computer boots up. however, if drivers is infact a possibility, i will definately try it out. thanks.

Was you last graphics solution an onboard card? If so did you make sure you set it to disabled through the bios options.

yeah, im starting to think it may be just a bad card. the old card works great (its in right now)... i just wanted to make sure i wasnt overlooking anything (compatibility issues etc..) before i go and take it back
