Video and audio freezes

CPU/Ram: pentium4 3.0 1 gb ram

Hi when i watch video on my computer avi or mpeg while watching every 3 or 4 minutes the video and audio will have a quick pause. Im not sure what the problem is but it worked one day then didnt then next

jeshe0, SWAG, buffering? Perhaps more memory? See if there's anything running in the background using memory that you can live without while watching. That would effectively increase memory without doing anything else.
