This happened to me when i updated from via 4.32 to 4.36......i tried every single possible thing but couldnt remove the resources conflict and the fact it kept saying found new hardware. I eventually did an install over the top of windows xp and re-installed all my drivers again starting with the new via 4.37 drivers. They work fine ....and seems to have also fixed my infinite loop problem fingers crossed.

I have exactly the same problem, but even the 4.37 version doesn't seem to help...Maybe I'll try one of the older versions.

Hi :)
I was having the same problem, even with the 4.37 drivers. But I just solved my problem maybe it will help you all :)

I went into Device Manager and for each IDE controller I right-clicked and Uninstalled. When I rebooted, it detected all IDE controllers and it does not ask me for the driver any more when I reboot. :)

Hope this helps

I'm having the same troubles, yet I have a Biostar 'board. I've tried installing the VIA drivers over and over again, but to no avail. I hope that one uninstalling trick works.
