Hi guys, first of all:
System specs: -Soltek SL-75KAV motherboard with on board Via AC 97 soundcard!
- Creative AudioPCI (es1371, es1373) soundcard (Yes, I have 2 soundcards) in PCI slot!
- Running windows XP (of course)
- I've got it hooked up as follows: Soundcard 1 to Mixer to Mini HIFI, soundcard 2 to Mixer to Mini HIFI!Ok, I'm an mp3 DJ and for some reason, after installing XP, the Via AC 97 (on board) isn't very good quality! It plays, but there are some weird little skips and noises when i play songs. No, it's not my mp3's, my mp3's are awesome quality! I don't think it's a driver problem (it could be) cause my bro's got the same specs as me, without the extra soundcard, and his works awesome! Any solutions???
thanx,
...vege...

There are new AC97 drivers from the Soltek website.
Have you tried these? I have a a Soltek SL75 DRV with AC-97 no bourd and have no problems at all.

i have a similar problem too, using 2 soundcard seemes to be disturb the XP's directX directsound acceleration, especially with an onboardsound installed, but i did manage the problem by reducing the acceleration bar in the sound control panel (for the selected soundcard ofcourse), go to cpanel -> sound & multimedia op -> speaker setting -> advanced -> then reduce the acceleration by sliding the bar backward(to the left) by 2 count, hopefully your problem solved 'vege', i did manage the situation with 3 troublemaker soundcards!!! installed in one time phew... :)

VIA Ac'97 audio driver.
Can't get the driver started. In the device manager it says: Device is working properly. All the components show up, but under properties it tells me "drivers has not been started". No other conflicts or messages.
All on Win XP. Please help.
