Hi, I have a 2 part question.
1) Is there a way to switch to VGA mode without rebooting (I am fully aware of rebooting then f8...)2) I have some games that only work when I boot in VGA mode. The problem is that for some of them, as they open Windows XP reverts back to normal mode. I can continue and play once (untill I quit the game), but if I close it then I am back in normal mode and to play again I have to reboot in VGA mode. Any suggestions on what to do.
I have already gone into display settings (while in normal mode) and switched them to 640x800 and 256 colors (which is what VGA mode opens with) but this doesn't resolve the running problems, only rebooting in VGA mode does. Thanks, Nate

Nate
First of all VGA mode is 640x480.
On my system I can click on settings/advanced/adapter/list all modes, and then set my monitor to run that slow.
You might try that.
If you run into any problems you can allways go to safe mode and reset everything.
Also Safe Mode loads only the basic VGA drivers and you can still play games there.
You may just want to boot into safe mode for those particular games.

Thanks for replying. I have done what you have suggested, but for some reason when I switch to 640x480 256 color they don't work, but when I boot in VGA mode (which is those same settings) they do. The problem is that it won't stay in VGA mode so I have to reboot every time I want to play. Any other ideas?
Thanks, Nate
