Comment:

My computer runs VERY slowly doing everything and the problem seems to be getting worse. I defragment my computer often and I have a fast Pentium and Windows XP. From switching the computer on to it being in an idle state on the desktop, it takes at least 10 mins. How can I speed it up?

When you first boot up your computer press CTRL-SHIFT-ESC

In the process list you can identify which processes are consuming the CPU and memory.

It could be the Hard Drive on its way out, or it could be junk like Limewire and Kazaa. Got those abominations installed?
