Specs: windows xp, intel
already i have update my bios of hp dx 2280 system ,but the system hangs again and again on verifying dmi pool data ,so how solv this one.

Did you enter BIOS setup after the bios flash and check boot order and drive detection settings?

Did you have this problem before the BIOS update? Why did you update the BIOS in the 1st place? Was there an issue that needed to be fixed that the update specifically addressed?

You get this message when there is no master boot record found on the drive.

As Richard59 suggests go into your bios and make sure the drive selection is correct. If it is look at going into recovery console and run the utilities fixmbr and fixboot. If still no go do a repair install of xp.
