Well, after working I shut down my computer, but when I went back to work it stated "verifying...", while it made a beep now, and was stuck. I have not installed any new hardware, no new software. I need help without losing any of my files. Is there a solution

Darren, same thing happened to me a while ago. I found following suggestion. Unplug all USB devices, unplug the power cable for a few seconds, turn the computer on without the USB devices plugged in and see if it works. This worked for me twice and it never happened again. I plugged the USBs back and all worked fine.

Cheers de Peter
