Hi, I was just wondering if there is a file with default command variables. Is there a way I can execute a command when then command prompt starts like .login file ??

There is no autoexec.bat files with Win XP like in DOS, if that's what you mean. Win XP is not based on DOS.

Press start/run and enter cmd. Then type in HELP and enter.

the only way to execute a command when you open a cmd prompt is basically to set up a shortcut to that command, and run it from the shortcut.
