Comment:

I just need an educated opinion on the value of an old laptop.
My friend wants to sell it to me and I want to be fair about the value.
It is an HP Pavilion ze4600 with:
mobile AMD Athlon XP2500+
1.86 GHz, 192 MB of RAM * a 40 gig hard drive.
Any input would be much appreciated! :)

just checking on ebay ... there's one offered for $200 (512/448 MB ram)

Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'

$200 seems about right. I have a friend that buys and repairs used laptops. He sells them on eBay, and at flea markets and that is about what he gets for one of that speed/size
