Utility Manager / Login Problems

The password for my aunt’s laptop contains the letter “u” the only problem with this is that when the “u” is pressed the Utility Manager comes up. I thought this should only happen if you press the windows logo + U. I restarted in safe mode same thing pressing U brings up the Utility manager. I am unable to login to windows. Any thoughts.

Yes you're correct - ÿ+U invoke Utility Manager.

It could be that the ÿ somehow are jammed.

What i would do is first clean the keyboard following THIS procedures.

Better yet spend $12 and get a new keyboard. Pulling all the keys is very time consuming and some of us have better things to do with our time.

Unfortunately it's not an option for the OP - aunt's PC is a LAPTOP.
