Subject: Using Nero to burn image CD
OS: Win XP SP2
CPU/Ram: 256
Model/Manufacturer: IBM
Comment:

I used Norton Ghost 8.3 to create an image to a model PC and saved the image directly on CD by using cd writer . The image CD is bootable and consists of 3 CD's . Now I need to make 3 copies of this Bootable image by using Nero6 but this operation always failed and an error eraised that "this disk was not created by symantec ghost " how can I make 3 copies for the image and be bootable as the original version

Convert the first image to an ISO file (this will retain the boot information then make the extra copies from that. there is a proviso though... I am not sure that an ISO can be made from a .gho image. You'll have to experiment. When you copy a Ghost image file to another disk the boot information is lost. I found out the hard way. My original image disk was damaged and I figured I would copy it (just in case) some time later I ditched the original disk my thought being that I had a good copy. I did have a good copy, but useless, the drive I copied it to would not boot.

Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!

it seems nero does not create the image just as it was. use alcohol 120 to create more copies.

That's what I said ham30. Whether or not you can make an ISO from a .gho is debateable. I'll try later and come back.
