Hi! Everybody,
Can somebody explain to me as much as possible in detail how DSL exactly works and if you're connected to DSL/CABLE you're more likeable exposed to spam, viruses, spyware etc. or am I wrong? This of course,if you have it on!
Thanks for your help and cooperation.
Matt.

DSL is very similar to dial up. Basically, the difference is that it uses higher fequencies and magic tricks to transfer data at a much higher speed.

The main reason you are more exposed to the bad guys, is that DSL is connected 24/7.

If your dsl modem is also a router or you use a router with the cable or dsl modem you are better protected then with dialup.
