I am having trouble with the Audio on Skype. I have Windows XP, an Imation Camcorder that can be used as a webcam, high speed cable internet, and the latest version of Skype. The picture works beautifully but there is no audio. I tried fixing the problem but I have not been successful. My Imation Camcorder does have a microphone for video but it is not working with the webcam for the Skype program. When I first downloaded Skype I tried out the test call echo123 chick to make sure everything (audio) was working properly. It was suppose to play back what it heard from my webcam. At first when testing the audio it said that the audio was too low and wasn’t working. Then after trying to fix the problem and testing it again echo123 didn’t say anything and still didn’t play anything back. When making calls I can see and hear the person I am trying to talk to, on my computer and through my speakers. The person I am trying to talk to can see me but can NOT hear me. They have everything on their computer working fine and they have the volume on high and working. I am wondering is there is anyway of fixing my problem or must I go out and buy a microphone? Shouldn't my camcorder microphone be working on Skype? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You!

Double left click the speaker in the lower right corner of the screen. That should bring up the volume controls. Check the miscrophone volume. Select Options/Properties and check both playback and record.
