When I try to use more than one user profile at once (i.e. I switch users to let somebody else use the computer while I'm still logged on and have programs running), the system gets extremly slow, I mean that I click on Start and I have to wait about 1 minute for the Start Menu to pop up. Anyone one knows what could be causing this?? I got a VIA 733 MHz processor with 288 MBs RAM.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, Get more DRAM. You should have 128MEGS per user at the minumum. When you switch users all those task that you left running are eating into your RAM. I would go with at least 512Megs.
