hi there. i was wondering ho wi would go about turning off the feature in windows xp that automatically logs my user out after about 10 mintures. when i logs out it doesn't close any running programs, but it brings me to the log in screen so i have to reenter my password. i wouldn't realy care however, programs like AIM get logged out. Is there some kind of feature to turn this off or extend the time. thanks a ton.

right click ur desktop then click properties. Than go to the screen saver tab. Now uncheck the box with the words "on resume, password protect" next to it, and click apply and/or Ok. thats it.

that's because the screen saver has the option checked that makes windows log off for you. Uncheck the box that says, under screensaver properties, on resume show welcome screen.
