Hi there, I recently re-installed XP and I just cant remember how I got rid of the user, password question on log on. Can please someone remember me how to do so. I'm the only user on that machine it's kinda of anoying. Thanks. Marty

I had this when I installed all the windows updates. Reinstalled and selected just a few and it never came up.
Also after a new install you have to create another account besides administrator. Once new account is created XP uses the new account as the default no passwords

This can happen if you have a network card in the computer.
Either way I got arrount this by installing "tweakui" it has an automaticly log in option.
