Comment: Hi :) hehe this is reasonably long but id be greatful if anyone can help. i recently formatted and installed xp. i set up user accounts for my family (limited) and an admin account for myself. many of the apps we ran wouldnt work on the limited accounts so i just scrapped the account thing and made a new default admin account for all. i then deleted the old admin account....however it wouldnt delete and kept not responding so i mived the associated files elsewhere and then it was able to succesfully remove that account. the problem is.....now in my startup menu im missing half the progs. i can still access them but its just not as handy as having them in the start menu....and accessories is missing which isnt very good at all. the files from my original account are still in a folder....i could copy the startup folder etc to the new one but it denies me access to them. and when i try to delete this folder from the original account it refuses me access to them although the account i am using is an admin one.

Reply: (edit)You could try a system restore to a point before you deleted the original admin account. If that works, open Windows Explorer and copy the desktop and program menu icons into the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users folder. LL
