User Account Issue

Microsoft Microsoft windows xp home edit...

Specs: Windows XP
When attempting to change User Account information (Start, Control Panel, User Accounts) i get a blank white box with "User Account" bar and with 3 buttons on the top left: a Back green arrow, a Forward green arrow and a "Home" button. Nothing happens when clicking any of the buttons. I am the admin to my desktop and this is the first time I've experienced this problem. I've added, deleted and made changes to the Account Users in the past. After search online for answers, I'm still no closer to resolving. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like some corruption. Start by doing a chkdsk /f from a cmd prompt, answer yes to the question and reboot.

Do it through the computer manager.

Right-click the "My Computer" on your Start menu. ->
Select "Manage" on the menu. ->
Select "Local Users and Groups" in the tee on the left. ->
Select "Users" in the tree.
