Hello,
My computer has 2 user accounts, mine (the
administrator), and my little sisters (regular account). My question is, how do I restrict her account from
accessing the internet, so that only the admin account
(mine) has internet access? If this requires software, any suggestion? Something
extremely basic is fine. Otherwise, I did do a little
research, and was wondering if the info contained on the
following website under "To enable Internet Connection
Sharing on a network connection" would do the trick?http://help.expedient.net/general/w...
Thanks,
Michael.

There are settings in Group Policy that may restrict access to the internet through Internet Explorer somewhat, but they are not foolproof. You really need to use a personal firewall to block access to the internet altogether for all applications. You need to make sure that your sister doesn't have administrator powers on your computer or she will be able to reverse any configuration. Assuming she is not, you could install a personal firewall and configure it to not allow any access to the internet. Then when you want to use the internet, you could disable the firewall being sure to enable it when done. Zone Alarm is a good firewall for novice users and free for personal use.

GPedit is usually the way to go but because you are using XP Home Edition you do not have this option. The best you can do is use third party software similar to the link below...
