|Being advised to go to www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm and download and create a win98 Boot Disk, I ended up with a half MegaByte file on a CD (RW). When I clicked on it, nothing happened, so I don't really know what I have. I never saw what I expected to see on a boot disk.|
In any case, how does a (presumeably) DOS boot disk reach into an NTFS partition with WinXP and fix the mbr, anyhow? Do I have to convert the partiton to FAT32 (or FAT16) first?
