Comment:
I recently tried to hook up a USB-to-IDE connection and I got it to show up in the System Devices area as a USB Mass Storage Device, but it wont show up on My Computer and I can't access it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Check disk management to see if the device is being assigned an in-use drive letter. Right click My Computer, left click Manage, left click Disk Management. See if you can find the device there and check to see what letter is assigned to it. You can change the letter there, if necessary.

It doesn't even show up at all on my disk management screen. I managed to see what was on the properties of my device and this showed up.
