USB Ports not working - I cannot connect

My computer boots normally, but it doesn't respond to the keyboard or mouse. It powers the mouse (it lights up) but it doesn't power the keyboard. I don't have any other ability to connect to it as it has no PS2 ports. I can't go into the BIOS as ... ta da .... no keyboard connection.
So it loads to the Windows XP start up screen and then that is as far as it goes.
I have checked the keyboard and mouse and they are fine.
I have tried every one of the 5 USB ports on the computer ... again, no difference in result.

Contact the Manufacturer's Tech support.
There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

Try running the repair option from your windows boot cd. If your keyboard and mouse work properly from the boot cd, then it is a software issue and probably a corrupt device driver. Hopefully the windows repair will correct the problem.
