Usb port identification

Specs: xp, PENTIUM 2.4 GHZ, 1GB

I have 8 USB barcode readers connencted to a PC. How can I identify the USB ports sending the data?

Do you mean in Device Manager? If so, the barcode readers should show as installed devices in Device manager. If you don't see them listed, expand the USB listing in device manager and they should appear.

It does not show up in device manager

If the devices are installed they should show up in Device Manager. Did you look in Universal Serial Bus Controllers. If thay are not listed there, then they may have their own catagory under input devices or something like that. You need to expand the entry list in Device Manager to see the individual devices.
