Hello,
I've bought a PCI card to add 2 usb connectors in my PC. It's an Opti with the chip 82C861. I'm running under XP home. The card has been recognized correctly by the system. There's no irq conflicts. Nonetheless, I can't get working any device I plug in. They remain unknown.

Have you made sure that USB is enabled in the BIOS?
A friend had the same problem, but resolved it by adjusting the BIOS settings.
