usb mouse not wrking on boot up

mother board asus a7n8x pcp version 2.0 updated bios vers 1005... when i reboot my pc the computer does not see my ibm optical mouse... i have never had this problem before... i have to unplug the usb plug and replug it in to get it to see mouse... on some occasions it states unrecognized usb device... i would try all 4 plugs on the motherboard... still no luck i will then wait about 1 min and replug the mouse and it will work... confused... please help P.S. I HAVE UPDATED THE BIOS TO VERS 1005 AND PCB IS VERS 2.0... PROB APPEARED THE DAY I BOOTED THE PC WITH THE NEW MOTHERBOARD

I had the same problem, so I used to ps/2 adapter that came with it and it works fine, the problem has something to do with the computer scanning all the usb drives but now properly detecting/loading the mouse, with ps/2 it will work without loading.
