Hello there!

I bought a FinePix S602Zoom and Im having
a problem installing the Usb mass storage device and thus i am not able to see
and copy my pictures from the camera to my computer. I´ve tried to install and remove the latest drivers from fuji support
again and again without success. This is the note i get
after i switch on my camera and the computer finds a new device:

Cannot install this hardware. There was a problem installing this hardware:
USB Mass Storage.
An error occured during the installation of the device.
The driver installation file for this file is missing a necessary entry. This
may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact your
hardware vendor.

Im running Windows XP professional and my MOBO is epox 8k3a with 2 usb ports. I tried the camera with my friends computer with win 98 and installation went perfectly. Thank you very much in advance!!!

Windows XP does not like a lot of drivers/software.

Try this - uninstall all drivers. Remove all entries for the camera from your registry (back up registry first). Or, do a system restore from before you installed the camera software.

When all of the camera software is gone, shut down your pc. Connect the camera and power on.

Windows should detect it and install drivers that will work. If it does not, note the error message and contact the mfr of the camera for support.
