Comment:

I have always used a PS2 conn until now
my new keyboard is usb only
it is instaled in device manage
problem is: half the board features are not enabled until comp has booted up
ie the arrows keys do not let me choose my operating sustem when the boot manager hits the screen so how do I use a USB keyboard?

All of the keys apart form the media ones should work when booting, the advice above should sort it.
